Ask Yourself These Questions (Part 1)

I am a student/apprentice
I have a guardian, but how is he coping with my sponsorship? (Or: I have no guardian; how do I sponsor myself?) Will an extra stipend make a difference? What job can I combine with my studies/apprenticeship to support myself? What is the guarantee that I will get employed or start my own business when I graduate?

I am unemployed
How am I coping without a job? Why am I not employed - no demand for my profession; or am I being too selective, having several offers in my hands? Can I do something outside my profession? How do I occupy myself while seeking permanent employment? What actually am I looking for - the job or the pay?

I am a self-employed artisan
How big is my business; can I make it bigger? How comfortable am I financially? Can my business ever make me a millionaire; in how many years? Can I do something else in addition?

I am employed

How much is my salary? How free am I with my time? How comfortably am I living? With my salary, can I ever become a millionaire; in how many years? I am working for somebody; will anybody ever work for me? What will become of me if I should lose my job?

I am a businessman

How big is my business; can I make it bigger? Can my business ever make me a millionaire; in how many years? What will become of my business and me when I grow old and unable to work any more? Can I combine my business with some other business? Will an extra income hurt?

I am the breadwinner of a family

How comfortably am I coping with the burden? Will an extra income be any relief? What will happen to my dependents when I die? Rather than give them fish, is it not better to show them how to catch the fish?

I am retired

How long did I work for somebody before retiring? How am I surviving now in retirement? Do I have any investment to take care of my dependants and me? Though I am retired, I am not tired of working, but what can I possibly do now to earn meaningful income?
